STEVENAGE DOLPHINS. |
| Stevenage’s Dolphins Swimming Club was even more buoyant than usual on Sunday when the Club was presented with four new flotation aids by Paul Lamorbey of Co-Operative Funeralcare, High Street, Stevenage, the trading name of the Co-Operative Group Funeral Service. Paul is responsible for the Company’s charitable donations, much of the funds for which come from staff fundraising efforts | ||
| Club Chairman David Wall was delighted to receive two full size wet vests and two aquatic flotation belts saying “ this equipment will enable seriously handicapped swimmers to take to the water with much greater confidence and the smaller belts will be particularly useful for children who tire quickly in the water”. | ||
| Paul said that he was very pleased to be able to support the wonderful work being done at the Stevenage club which welcomes anyone with a condition that could benefit from water activity to the friendly, informal sessions at Stevenage Swim Centre, St. George’s Way, every Sunday afternoon. He has also promised a new trophy for Dolphins 2005 gala having watched the Club’s highly successful swim team training energetically for the new season, on Sunday. | ||
